Careers Privacy Notice
How we handle your personal data when you apply for a role · Version 2026-08-13
This notice is provided under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Retention periods marked [under review] are being confirmed with counsel.
Who we are
The Data Fiduciary is My Safe Spaces (MSS Services India LLP), registered at 250 Udyog Vihar Phase 4 #48, Gurugram, Haryana 122015. This notice covers the careers portal at careers.mysafespaces.org, where you can create an account and apply for open roles.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email, phone, and (for password accounts) a securely hashed password, or a Google sign-in identifier.
- Application details — your résumé/CV, work history, education, skills, location, LinkedIn URL, and anything you include in your application.
- Preferences — whether you want application updates and new-role alerts by email.
- Technical — an essential, secure sign-in cookie so you stay logged in. We set no advertising or analytics cookies on this portal.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We process your data with your consent, given when you create your account, to consider you for roles, communicate with you about your applications, and — if you opt in — tell you about matching openings. We do not use it for any other purpose without asking you.
Who we share it with (processors & cross-border)
We share data only with processors that help us run the service:
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, database, and email (SES). Some processing occurs outside India.
- Google (Workspace / Sign-in) — optional Google sign-in and our recruitment mailboxes.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We will update this list if our processors change.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can, at any time:
- Access & download your data — from your account (“Download my data”).
- Correct your details — edit them in your account.
- Withdraw consent — turn off emails in your account, or delete your account.
- Erase your data — request account deletion from your account. Deletion is scheduled and stays cancellable for 24 hours, then permanently removes your account and the personal data in your applications.
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity — contact the Grievance Officer.
- Complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and application data while you are considered for roles and for a reasonable period afterwards [under review with counsel], unless you ask us to delete it sooner. When you delete your account we remove your account and scrub the personal data from your applications.
Children's data
This is an adults-only service for job applicants. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not run tracking or targeted advertising.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), a secure httpOnly session cookie, scoped credentials, and least-privilege access.
Grievance redressal
If you have any question or complaint about your data, contact The Grievance Officer at grievance@mysafespaces.org. We will acknowledge and respond within the timelines required by the DPDP Act.
